Cookie Policy

§ 1. WHAT ARE COOKIES?
Cookies are small text files stored on a user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet) by a web browser when visiting websites. Cookies do not contain personal data that directly identifies the user, unless the user has provided such data.
§ 2. WHO IS THE COOKIE ADMINISTRATOR?

In the case of third-party cookies (e.g. Google, Meta, Klaviyo), the administrators are the providers of these services.
§ 3. TYPES OF COOKIES USED
The ariahair.pl store uses the following categories of cookies:
1. Essential cookies (session and technical) are required for the proper operation of the store. They enable, among other things, maintaining a session, remembering the contents of a shopping cart, logging into an account, and fulfilling orders. The use of these cookies does not require the user's consent (Article 173, paragraph 3 of the Telecommunications Law).
Examples: _shopify_session, _shopify_y, cart, cart_sig, secure_customer_sig
2. Functional (preference) cookies. These remember user settings, such as selected language, region, currency, and display preferences. They are used with the user's consent or based on legitimate interest.
3. Analytical and statistical cookies. Collect anonymous or pseudonymous data about store traffic (number of visits, duration of stay on the site, traffic sources). They allow for the analysis and improvement of store performance. Used with user consent.
Examples: Google Analytics (_ga, _gid, _gat), Shopify Analytics
4. Marketing and advertising cookies. These cookies are used to display personalized ads and measure campaign effectiveness. They may be used by third-party advertising platforms (Meta Pixel, Google Ads, TikTok Pixel). They are used only with the user's express consent.
§ 4. PURPOSE OF USING COOKIES
Cookies are used to:
- ensuring the proper operation of the store and shopping functions,
- remembering the user's session and shopping cart data,
- traffic analysis and store optimization (statistics),
- sending e-mails and SMS messages via marketing tools (e.g. Klaviyo),
- displaying personalized ads on social media and advertising networks,
- electronic payment processing (Shopify Payments, Apple Pay, Google Pay, BLIK, Klarna),
- integration with social media (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok).
§ 5. LEGAL BASIS
The use of cookies is based on:
- Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR – user consent (for analytical and marketing cookies),
- Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR – legitimate interest of the Controller (for functional and necessary cookies),
- Article 173 of the Telecommunications Law – for cookies technically necessary to provide the service.
§ 6. THIRD-PARTY COOKIES
The store may use cookies from the following third parties:
- Google LLC – Google Analytics, Google Ads (privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy)
- Meta Platforms, Inc. – Meta Pixel, Facebook, Instagram (privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy)
- TikTok Technology Ltd. – TikTok Pixel (privacy policy: tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Klaviyo, Inc. – Email Marketing (privacy policy: klaviyo.com/legal/privacy)
- Shopify Inc. – store platform, payments (privacy policy: shopify.com/legal/privacy)
- Klarna Bank AB – installment payment service (privacy policy: klarna.com/pl/polityka-prywatnosci)
§ 7. MANAGING COOKIES CONSENT
When you first visit the store, a cookie banner is displayed allowing you to express or refuse consent to individual categories of cookies.
Consent may be withdrawn or changed at any time by clicking on the cookie settings icon (available in the footer of the page or in the banner) or by contacting the Administrator at: concierge@ariahair.pl.
§ 8. MANAGING COOKIES THROUGH YOUR BROWSER
The user can independently manage cookies through the web browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and Site Permissions
Restricting or disabling cookies may affect the operation of the store, including preventing you from placing orders.
§ 9. COOKIES STORAGE PERIOD
Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies are stored for the time specified in the cookie's parameters or until manually deleted by the user. Detailed storage periods for individual cookies are available in the consent management tools.
§ 10. CHANGES TO THE COOKIES POLICY
The Administrator reserves the right to change this Cookie Policy. Users will be notified of any changes by publishing a new version on the Store's website. The current version is always available at ariahair.pl/pages/polityka-cookies.
